“All available instances are used” status

What are instances?

“All available instances are used” status means that all license key’s instances are used.

InstAssist basic licenses may have 1 (Mini), 15 (Pro) and 25 (Expert) instances.

On top of that each license key may have the seats number which is a multiplier for the instance number.

For example, an Expert license key with 10 seats it will have: 25 instances * 10 seats = 250 instances total on a license key.

When you install the license key to the extension manually or automatically, it uses one instance of the license key. When you remove the license from the extension manually or automatically, this instance removes from the license key.

Why “All available instances” status is bad

Each instance costs money, so if you don’t use all your instances, you’re losing money.

Make sure there are no templates, role templates, testing, suspended and other instances present on your license key.

IMPORTANT: Instances that are not present only in a specific InstAssist Connect application on a specific server in a specific folder will be deleted.

1. Go to Profiles tab

2. Press License key cleanup on the bottom

3. Enter your license key

4. Press TEST button - it will show you which instances to remove and which to keep

5. Press CLEANUP button

To cleanup the license key and keep only instances from multiple servers:

1. On each server Export the profiles data

2. Create a new InstAssist Connect folder, eg: C:\InstAssist Cleanup\InstAssist Connect

3. Download a fresh InstAssist Connect application: ⬇️ Downloads 

4. Unzip Inst Assist Connect to the new InstAssist Connect folder

5. Import all profiles data files

6. Perform License key cleanup so it will use the data from all servers
